Terry Hewett

Terry is one of Adventure Out’s founding instructors. He maintains an involvement with all facets of the company's operations whilst working predominantly with corporate clients in a facilitation/coordination capacity.

Terry is also a past president of the Climber’s Association of WA and the Adventure Industry Association of WA. Currently he is a representative on the WA Parachute Council for the Sporting Skydivers Club of WA and a Past President of Outdoors WA, the peak body representing adventure and outdoor activity needs in Western Australia.

Coming to us from Tasmania, Mitch holds a Bachelor of Human Movement, Outdoor Education Major. Mitch has earned the reputation as being a ‘mini MacGyver’ due to his ability to use paper clips and candy bars…

One of Mitch’s characteristics is his ability to interact with people at a variety of levels, this along with his great personality, has seen him become a very popular and valued staff member of Adventure Out.

Brayden’s passion for working in the outdoors stemmed from his school days with Christ Church Grammar School. Adventure Out recruited Brayden having being impressed by his technical abilities, but foremost his enthusiasm for working with others in the outdoors.

Brayden is a NOLS registered Abseiling Instructor, Australian Canoeing Level 2 Instructor, and has a Certificate 4 in Outdoor Recreation specialising in bush walking, roping and water.

What started as an All Saints College work experience placement with Adventure Out, has lead to a full time position as Assistant Equipment Manager/Instructor whilst successfully completing his Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation. He is currently studying for his Cert IV in Sport (Development).

Alastair’s strengths lie in his ability to keep cool under pressure and his absolute motivation to learn all that the outdoor industry has to offer.


Katie Brown

Katie first joined Adventure Out in 1991 as Recreation Officer and since then has undertaken many roles within the company in between study and children. After completing her Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Management and Marketing, Katie has moved into the Marketing Manager role encompassing all facets of Adventure Out—Corporate, School, Education and Recreation.
