Kimberley Odyssey Eco Trek

The Kimberley is well known for its spectacular geography as well as its diverse and unique mix of inhabitants and industry. Kokoda Treks

Adventure Out offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and cultural wealth and history of the Kokoda Trail. This adventure encompasses a 96 km trek across the Owen Stanley Ranges operating from either Kokoda Village to Owers Corner, or Owers Corner to Kokoda Village (optional 3 day extension to Buna available). Contact the office to find out more details.

  • 17–25 August 2008 Kokoda to Owers Corner.
  • 30 August–7 September 2008 Owers Corner to Kokoda (8–10 September optional 3 day Buna Village).

When booking flights, please arrive a day prior and depart a day later to your chosen trek dates. Accommodation for these days is covered in your trek cost.

2009

  • 3–11 May 2009. Owers Corner to Kokoda (12–14 May optional 3 day Buna Village).
  • 25 May–2 June 2009. Owers Corner to Kokoda.
  • 22–30 September 2009. Kokoda to Owers Corner (19–21 September optional 3 day Buna Village).
  • 6–14 September 2009. Owers Corner to Kokoda (15–16 September optional 3 day Buna Village).

August 2007

Adventure Out switches to using Biodiesel in their vehicles as part of their environment protection policy. Biodiesel is biodegradable and non-toxic, and typically produces about 60% less net carbon dioxide emissions than petroleum-based diesel, as it is itself produced from atmospheric carbon dioxide via photosynthesis in plants.
