Adventure Out Wow’s Perth!
On the 24th of February, Adventure Out was showcased at a Perth Convention Bureau progressive cocktail party. The party was held in the Barrack Street Jetty area, and Adventure Out put on the very first flying Fox from the top of the Bell Tower, as well as two separate abseils. Fifty cocktail attendees and the general public were witness to just some of the unique things that Adventure Out is able and willing to some with ropes, fixed structures and willing guinea pigs to jump.
The event was a great success for everyone that took part and Adventure Out made new friends with the team at the Bell Tower and Burswood. We would like to thank everyone that attended and made the event so much fun.
This event proves that Adventure Out is the place to call when you want to put a special edge on your events or conferences that cannot be offered by anyone else in Perth and most of Australia. We have a very good ability to think outside the box and can add a wow factor to any event, function, adventure race, marketing pitch, concert, show, birthday or anything you want that extra something to make what you are doing memorable.
For more information, please contact Trish.

Boot Camp
During January, Adventure Out conducted a “Boot Camp” style program for 40 Australian Scouts in the Dwellingup (Lane Pool Reserve) region. The Scouts participated in navigation, mountain biking, river rafting as well as a low ropes course, high ropes course and a flying fox. All ropes courses and the flying fox were custom built in situ and then de-rigged at the conclusion of the program.
The Boot Camp was a physical and mental challenge for the ‘Venturers’ (Scouts aged between 14 – 17 years old), with exercises starting at 6.30am, followed by an enjoyable but sometimes difficult, morning and afternoon activities. The summer temperatures also tested the venturers’ mettle, especially those from Melbourne, however the Venturers impressed the Adventure Out team with their positive attitude and enthusiasm throughout all activities.
The highlights were the ‘duo dangles’, which are a difficult part of the high ropes course, the excellent unit chants on the last night, the visit to Dwellingup POW camp and swimming in the beautiful Nanga Brook. The Adventure Out team was particularly happy with the performance in the navigation course which was completed on the hottest day. It was also an interesting insight into the Scouts’ organisation and great to have a group of young adults who really enjoyed the outdoors and working with other like-minded people.

Zero Harm OH&S Culture
During December, Adventure Out conducted an OH&S program with Water Corporation Water Production Branch to underline their Zero Harm OH&S culture. The Branch spent the morning learning about the Occupational Health and Safety culture at Water Corporation and then applied their JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and skills to our Nuclear Hazard Activity.
This was a great hands-on application of the company’s OH&S policies and JSA procedures and everyone completed the task successfully and with Zero Harm.
To learn more about how Adventure Out can use experiential learning to help reinforce your OH&S and JSA policies with hands-on and fun activities, contact Trish Merson.
