Rottnest Rally
Description of Program:
You arrive on the island for a professional development program only to find that terrorists plan to blow up the island with thermo nuclear bombs. After further investigation, you realise that the State Police, TRG and the Defence Departments SAS regiment cannot be activated in time to save the island. America would have a choice of one man solutions - Sylvester Stallone (Rambo), Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible) or Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator), however Australia doesn't, all we have is your team.
You manage to locate a group of ex military personnel (Adventure Out Staff) that have further information about the terrorist's demands. They can not go it alone and require the assistance of a high performing team to help them out.
You discover that the terrorists have a twisted sense of humour. They have left hidden information around the island in a coded format and in some cases booby trapped information which will enable you to disarm the bombs.
Is your team:
- Up to the challenge to support the ex-military personnel in their quest to disarm the bombs?
- Prepared to accept specialised team trainining from the ex-military personnel?
- Prepared to overcome all obstacles to acquire the coded information?
- Capable of code breaking?
- Up to the challenge of disarming thermo nuclear bombs?
The objective of the day's activity is for your team to disarm a number of thermo nuclear bombs located on the island. They have been set to go off at 3.45pm.
Information to disarm the bombs can only be acquired if you are capable of decoding a series of problems and searching for information. Specialised tools to disarm the bombs have to be acquired. This can only be done in time if your team divides into small project groups, scatter around the island on a bicycle orienteering course and hunt down the resource required before 3.45pm.
This is a complex day requiring sound planning, resource management, communication, team commitment and, of course, a preparedness to have some fun!
